[#ThrowbackThursday][Video] Project Mayhem – Lo Sweatas
Mayhem Music‘s #ThrowbackThursday feature is back in full effect and this week’s joint is something special. “Lo Sweatas” was Project Mayhem‘s very first full length video and permanently stamped the group’s place in Chicago’s hip hop & fashion scene. The buzz and acclaim surrounding this video catapulted the group into the cross hairs of not only local, but national media outlets. Directed by Phil Lee (see also: “Amazing/Celebration”), this visual masterpiece was unrivaled by any video put out by any local Chicago area artist dating before its release. We know its getting a lil cold outside, no worries for us though: “My clique, we rock Lo Sweatas”….

Project Mayhem – Amazing/Celebration [Official Music Video]
Project Mayhem is back at it!!! Middle America has received critical acclaim and has been touted as one of the best mixtapes of 2012 by various blogs & media outlets, so it was only right to give the stand-out track “Amazing” the FULL visual treatment. Produced by Project Mayhem’s resident beatsmith/rapperTree, “Amazing” stars Tree, himself, Lennon, Ish Claiborne, & Marco Dane. This song serves as a true display of the group’s beautifully meshed versatility as they paint a vivid picture of the Chicago streets they were raised in and their “AMAZING” lifestyle over Tree’s soulful & head-nod inducing production. Directed by Phil Lee, these stunning visuals bring the words to life as only the Mayhem Machine could. As a bonus the video also leads into a verse from the Tye Hill produced “Celebration” starring Paypa, also from Middle America. Enjoy and please feel free to share, blog, and tweet this video…

[#ThrowbackThursday] Project Mayhem – Into My Life
Took a week off, but this week #ThrowbackThursday is back and features a song off of my (@skyhighfly_p) favorite Project Mayhem mixtape to date, their 2008 project “The More Than Hype Musical Experience“. The song “Into My Life” is reminiscent of that Renaissance Era of hip hop with its sample heavy track and the way Ish, Paypa, & Lennon flow freely and effortlessly. No hook needed. Ain’t shit about them champagne but toasters…
